Site profile

Ololchura.

The Ololchura community including the school accessed water intermittently from a standpipe provided by one of the resorts within Masai Mara. Due to their proximity to the park, the community members coming from further villages frequently encountered wild animals when going out to the fetch water. Due to long queues, some households opted to collect water from unimproved sources such as rivers that were closer to their homes.
