Site profile

Embiti.

While a borehole was present, it was diesel-operated and often unutilized due to lack of funds to purchase diesel. This saw community members collect drinking water from unimproved sources that were often contaminated by animals. The sanitation across the households was dire with only one household across seven villages having a toilet. In the primary schools, the toilets were in very poor conditions which didn’t provide safety and dignity for the learners.
