Naarolong Primary School relied solely on rainwater which often ran out due to erratic rain patterns and inadequate storage. The community members relied on streams for drinking water which was often contaminated by animals. The school had inadequate sanitation facilities that did not meet the recommended toilet:pupil ratio.
